| Real CLothes Fashion Show ~ Kawaiii warrsss~~~
Saw a program on TV Japan and it said some cool/funny/intresting facts about Japan and their fashion industry.
1. Ebihara Yuri (nickname: Ebi-chan) and something Moe are the two most popular charisma models in Japan. The magazine which they model for is called "CanCam" (I think).
2. In a month, Japan releases around 100 new fashion magazines... SO many ><;;;
3. Girls were interviewed in "Shibuya 109" (Big fashion store/building in Tokyo) and the girls were asked how much they spend on clothes. They ranged anywhere from 60,000 yen (around $600) to 100,000 yen (about $1000) for one day's shopping. These girls, all of them, as seen on this program, literally RUN around from store to store... SO many GIRLS there. GOOOSH. Maybe it's just me.. I couldn't think of spending $1000 on clothes all at once.. But these girls said they work full time for the purpose of buying clothes. THey want to wear something new/different everyday. ^^;;
4. At the time this program was made, the trend was "ties". So all the stores would look into desiging and selling something with or related to ties. By the following week, ties would be considered old and not cool anymore.... ><
5. There's stores.. don't know where.. that sells the EXACT outfit that Ebihara Yuri wore in her CanCam magazine. THe salespeople are wearing the outfit, advertising it, telling people that Ebi-chan wore it. And SO many people buy it! Resulting in.. a bunch of people wearing the same thing???
6. Real Clothes Fashion shows - Unlike Fashion shows like the Paris Collection, the models wear and display clothes that can be worn everyday. Normal, casual but very cute clothes. As the models walk down the runway, the spectators (99.999% girls as it seemed) can BUY the exact same thing that these models wear using their cell phones.. They can view sizes... colors and stuff all using their cell phone.. OMG. I don't even OWN a cell phone ^^;
hmm.. if i remember more stuff I'll add later~~~ | | |
